Hubbuffate, a digital and sustainable network

Context

When we first met, Hubbuffate already existed as a network: a community of social farms which gathered for events, fairs, and local initiatives. They already had the idea of sharing values and a vision, as well as the desire to build a more structured network in order to promote themselves and grow together.

What was missing was a model capable of ensuring continuity and sustainability over time, and above all the tools needed to raise awareness about the project externally, starting with a coherent and functional digital presence.

Process

Our plan was two-fold. On the one hand, we supported ExEat and the Hubbuffate network through a strategic consulting process, working together to define the vision, objectives, and operational methods. It was a participatory effort that actively involved the different groups within the network. We “thought like designers” to understand the client’s needs, generate shared ideas, and co-design solutions.

This approach made it possible to build a sustainable model not only from a social perspective, but also from an economic one: a clear, replicable structure capable of attracting resources and generating value locally.

At the same time, we designed and created all the tools needed to make this model visible and active.

We built Hubbuffate’s website from scratch, imagining it as a simple and accessible hub for telling the project’s story, giving visibility to the farms involved, hosting editorial content and promoting activities in the area.

We designed and implemented the project’s operational heart: an online shop where products from the network’s farms can be purchased, supporting the supply chain and making the value of the network tangible through direct sales.

We handled interface design, user experience and web development, and we created a series of graphic assets for social media, made to support the farms’ daily communication activities in an autonomous yet coordinated way.

Everything was built with careful attention to making the project communicable, navigable and sustainable over time.

Results

Today, Hubbuffate is an active entity with a clear identity, concrete tools and a model that combines social impact and economic sustainability.

Our journey with Hubbuffate has also received external recognition: the project was among the winners of the national U Can Impact program promoted by SellaLab, which rewarded its ability to integrate economic goals and social transformation within a single project and vision.

A recognition that confirms the value of the work done together, from the initial listening phase to operational implementation.
